In my experience, Trader Joe's is the safest place for me to shop. Minimal staring, and I'm treated kindly.

Aldi and Walmart the worst. People stare, make comments, and are generally rude to me in those stores, so I tend to avoid them even though the cost of their products fit better into my budget.

I'm always balancing the tradeoff between budget, comfort, and safety when shopping.
