If you think anybody in the context of this essay about a months-old and forgotten twitter hashtag wished physical harm of any kind upon JK Rowling, your poor reading comprehension skills are either highly concerning for an adult human -- or -- more likely, you aren't here in good faith to begin with and know full well that flippant Twitter hashtags aren't particularly effective at doing anything, nor are they representative of reality. But you already know that.

If you didn’t realize that I never endorsed the hashtag, I merely referenced its existence in regard to Rowling’s ongoing controversies, you’d be really quite ignorant and careless. But you’re neither of those things, are you?

You’d also be very fucking stupid if you didn’t realize that the hashtag was about the “death of the author” trope in modern discourse, not people wishing for the literal death of an author 🤦‍♀️ but I don’t think that you’re very fucking stupid. I think you’re trolling.

Either way, you're not worth further time out of my day, are you? And even that worth is highly questionable as it is. I'm going to get back to my bagel now. I might need to retoast it. Bummer.

Have the day you deserve :)
