I have a working theory that many people who hardline the belief that being LGBTQIA+ is a choice are secretly not monosexual and choose to only operate on their heterosexual impulses.

Folks like that insist that homosexuality is a choice because they do literally choose to be "straight" and ignore their homosexual and sexually fluid tendencies.

So is he simply gay? Probably not, few people can successfully repress Kinsey Six homosexuality, but he likely does exist somewhere on the bi/plurisexual spectrum and has forcibly repressed any internal sense of queerness or male attraction he may have.

It's ultimately sad in a certain way, I want for all people to have access to self-actualization, but his life choices are also pretty calculated in order to realize his political ambitions, even if it means sacrificing everything about his beliefs and who he is to get ahead.
